This property is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment and extension including the re-cladding of the exterior in Alpolic(reg trademark)/fr aluminium composite cladding
system. The building is to be brought back into use as a Medical centre occupied by both the private and NHS organisations.
The ground and first floor will be fitted out to be operated as a Diagnostic centre incorporating MRI and CT scanners. The operating company Lodestone is a subsidiary of
the I-MED Network, part of the world’s largest private diagnostic imaging group. The second and third floors are to form the new Breast Care suite for the Brighton and
Sussex University Hospital Trust. This accommodation has been located in temporary accommodation on the main hospital site in Brighton. This new location should allow the provision
of a first class service with easier access for all patients across
the county.
The fourth floor is proposed for a new Ophthalmology suite and a Medical Analytical Laboratory. Negotiations are currently in progress about further Medical Use in the remaining
space.
