Over the years we have built and refurbished many properties in Sussex and the South East. A selection of the properties we have retained or developed include
Preston Road, Brighton
Park House was purchased as an empty office block that had sat idle for several years. Extensions at the front and rear, together with re-cladding and complete internal refurbishment have turned it into an attractive Medical building occupied by both the private and public sectors. The NHS Park Centre for Breast Care is a tenant together with the Alliance Medical Diagnostic Unit. The offices for the Brighton & Hove integrated Care Services have recently relocated to the 4th floor of the building.
Walworth Road, London
A prominent art deco Listed building at the heart of the £1.5bn Elephant & Castle Regeration Area. Originally constructed as one of the first purpose built Health buildings in the country (prior to the NHS). It was subsequently used as the Local Authority offices. Whilst the NHS still occupy the ground floor as a clinic, plans are being prepared for the refurbishment of the building for a mix of Office and medical users.
Queens Road, Brighton.
The Queens Head lies at the gateway to Brighton if travelling by rail. A property that has been badly neglected for many years but has so much potential. We have purchased it with a view to bringing it back into use whilst improving the external elevations to reflect it's former glory. Discussions are currently underway with the City Planners.
Ellen Street, Hove
The Agora was a Greek marketplace where people gathered, traded, sought medical advice - it was the heart of the community.
This 1960's office building of 2,000 sq m was vacant and mainly empty when we purchased it in 2003. Our award winning re-cladding and refurbishment transformed the property into the local landmark that today hosts a rich variety of local businesses and medical facilities adjacent to Hove station; www.brightonbusiness.co.uk
Richmond Road, Brighton
Richmond House is a 1950's office building reaching the end of its natural life. It is located in a residential area but adjacent to and some 8 metres higher than Centenary Industrial Estate. We are currently in discussions with the City Planners on a mixed use redevelopment scheme including 10,000 sq. ft. of offices with 33 flats over approached from Richmond Road.
Victoria Road, Burgess Hill
By careful design we transformed this redundant industrial shed into an attractive modern building. Through the introduction of a central lightwell and an extra floor the building was converted into a light, spacious open office which achieved consent for a change of use to a D1 Day Care nursery. The tenant has taken up an option to purchase.
Preston Park
The first property bought in the Matsim portfolio. This was a redundant Inland Revenue office that had laid empty for several years. The government had carried out numerous alterations to the building that didn't reflect the history and character of the building. Working closely with the local planning poffice we refurbished the building and reinstated details appropriate to the grade II listed status of the property.
Hove
An investment property comprising of three industrial units let to Furniture Village, Partco and Essential Hygiene.
This is a fairly large underdeveloped site adjacent to Hove Railway Station which is suitable for redevelopment in the future.
Hove
This is a large industrial investment of four units with an adjacent large car park. These have been combined and adapted to suit Custom Pharmaceutical Ltd. a well established expanding local employer. We are currently working with Custom to plan for their future expansion and development which ties with our strategy to add value through our relationships with good quality clients.
Preston Park
The first office building constructed by us in the portfolio. A development achieved after overturning a Planning recommendation for refusal, where residential use was preferred. This highlights both how planning policies change on a regular basis and our perseverance and determination to achieve sensible development projects.
